Sprint rolls out Android 4.4.3 for Nexus 5 users

Sprint has announced the release of a firmware update for its Nexus 5 users which features ‘Misc Android updates’ and a build version number that matches the previously rumoured build number of Android 4.4.3 KitKat. The update is currently rolling out to users in the US. The firmware update goes by the build name KTU8AF (KTU8 was the previously speculated Android 4.4.3 build number for the Nexus 5), and enables the device to work on Sprint’s LTE network on bands 26 and 41. The network operator on support page mentions that the update will be available starting 14 April and will be rolled out completely to other users in stages. With Android 4.4.3, Google has reportedly fixed problems with data connection loss, random reboots, missed calls and various camera bugs. Other than existing bug fixing, the Android 4.4.3 is said to not bring anything new in terms of features and UI interface. So far, the update has not been listed on Google’s factory Images for Nexus devices page, but it is speculated that it will soon be available to other users in U.S, as the ‘KTU’ text code is usually used for all the Nexus 5 unlocked U.S variants. The Update is currently available only for the Nexus line of devices (Nexus 5, Nexus 4, Nexus 7 2012 and 2013) and Google Play edition devices will receive this update soon. As always, the update is being DogFooded to users, so you may receive the update a couple of days later than the other user. Have you updated yet? Comment down below if you notice any significant changes! UPDATE: Sprint has now removed the mention of the Android 4.4.3 update from their website. No one has reported getting the KTU84F update, which was supposed to roll out on Monday, April 14th.   Whether Sprint was ahead of themselves in posting this, or something went technically wrong and Google stopped the update, is not known. But the update can’t be too far away, seeing that Sprint had actually posted it on their support page.  ...
