The latest camera technology will also give you a better low light performance compared to the Lumia 925 and lossless digital zooming. Is this the Lumia 1520

More specs have come out regarding the expected late September announcement of the 6″ device looking like it could be the Lumia 1520. Similar to it’s cousin polycarbonate phones, it will appear similar by design. Except, it will stand out with its quad-core Snapdragon CPU, 20 MP PureView camera, and Windows Phone 8 GDR3 for the new 1080p support. This allows for a double wide tile to be next to a medium size tile. Watch for the code name ‘Bandit’ that it is hiding under. Nokia Lumia 1020 (first impressions)

Nokia Lumia 1020 (first impressions)

Shortly after its launch on Friday, I dropped over $700 to purchase the Nokia Lumia 1020. Though my full review won’t be up for a little while, I’ve had a couple of days to play with it and its 41MP Zeiss lens, and so far, it’s fantastic. The design of the phone bears a striking resemblance to its predecessor, the Lumia 920 – nix the Oreo-like camera on the back. It’s certainly thicker than my Lumia 925, and has a less premium feel – the matte polycarbonate is nice, but it just doesn’t match up to the 925’s aluminum lining. The yellow is just awesome. I’ll have more on the Lumia 1020 and other mobile devices in future articles.     Hi all, I’m Hayato. I’m a tech enthusiast and a musician of sorts, and I’ll be one of the new writers here at Tech4Geeks. As an awkward, keep-to-myself kid, music and writing have always been two things I feel very passionate about; they’re both escapes to a different state of mind. Nokia Lumia 1020 Official

Nokia Lumia 1020 Official

And so the camera smartphone war continues as Nokia launches its new camera smartphone to compete with none other than the Galaxy S4 Zoom. The biggest wow factor with the Lumia 1020 is the 41MP camera sensor, which is the only smartphone to feature this kind of sensor in the market as of today. This will let you capture photos like never before, and record full high definition videos with a more improved audio recording. “We want to take people on a journey from capturing pictures to recording and sharing their lives,” “The Nokia Lumia 1020 will bring new meaning to pictures and continues to strengthen Nokia’s leadership in imaging.” said Stephen Elop, President and CEO, Nokia. The Lumia 1020 is quite identical to the Lumia 920 and 925 but once you look at the back, things are going to turnaround as you will find out why this is a camera phone. You can add accessories like a wireless charging cover  or the camera grip which comes into three different colors (yellow, black and white). It will have a 4.5-inch display (720 x 1280 pixels); a dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB RAM 32GB on board storage and 2000 mAh of non-removable battery. Software wise it will be running the latest Windows Phone 8 OS. Just to be more in-depth with the main camera, it will have an aperture of f/2.2, slightly higher than the Nokia 808 which had f/2.4 aperture so meaning there’s going to be more light coming through the lens, giving you a much brighter photos in low light situation and better bokeh, along with the is the xenon flash which is brighter than your typical LED flashes you will find in today’s smartphones. It also uses the same optical image stabilisation as the Lumia 920 and 925 giving you less shaky video recordings. During the announcement of the smartphone Nokia was really getting into zoom. With the 41MP camera on the Lumia 1020 you will get very detailed photos and fewer grains when you zoom in to the photos. Crop, resize and reframe, whatever you want to do, you still capture every detail on the photos. The Lumia 1020 will only be available in the U.S for now, which is an AT&T exclusive only (really?) for $299.   Photos:...
