Hard Drives (HDD) have come a long way, you probably even have a couple right now all running at the same time to keep all your important files. Portability wise, it has been more compact therefore they are now easier to pack on the go. The Extreme 500 Portable SSD from Sandisk is one them, and yes portable SSD’s are here! SSD’s are ususally used as your computer’s internal storage, but not anymore. Not only will these next generation drives be compact but will also boost the media transfer speed by 4X faster than a standard USB 3.0 hard drive. The packaging is simple and minimal. You get a tiny booklet, a micro-USB cable and the SSD drive itself. It’s a plug and play drive meaning you don’t need a special driver to run it. Design wise – it is rugged thanks the rubber frame around it that also absorbs impact from drops. It can also handle hot and cold temperatures between -20C to 70C. Samsung Australia confirmed that from June 18th 2015, the new colour range for Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge will go on sale and will be available at the Samsung Experience stores in Melbourne and Sydney, as well as selected retailers. The expansion of range include Gold Platinum (available in both Galaxy S6 and S6 edge), Green Emerald (Galaxy S6 edge only) and Blue Topaz (Galaxy S6 only). The latest GeForce flagship is here and it’s designed to run smoothly based on todays display resolutions – 1080p, 1440p and 4K. Perfect for 4K titles like The Witcher 3, GTA V and Project CARS. The new GTX is impressive in every way, it packs with 2816 CUDA Cores , while 176 texture units are working during the processing which means the lighting, shading, smoke and fire will look even more detailed. If the basic GTX 980 is already superb, the 980 Ti has 38% more CUDA Cores and texture units. In addition to that, it will run at a base clock frequency of 1000MHz and can be boosted to 1075MHz, and will based of a 384-bit memory interface running at 7GHz with 6GB of GDDR5 memory. Nvidia quoted that it will be 3x faster than both GTX 780Ti and GTX 680. They’ve also showed frame rates sample from games running in 4K and below are the results. HTC Australia, last night, announced the availability of their latest flagship phone for 2015, the HTC One M9 will be available across Australian carriers and retailers from March 24th. The One M9 was first announced at the MWC in Barcelona. It brings the familiar design of M8 with addition of another piece of metal making it a two toned phone, or if you want you could just say it’s a hybrid of the M7 and M8. Spec wise, it has 5 – inch full HD display, Snapdragon 810 processor alongside Adreno 430 graphics chipset, 2840mAh of non-removable battery, 3GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage. Both front (4MP) and rear (20MP) cameras now features the Ultrapixel technology with 4K recording and professional editing tools. HTC also teamed up with Dolby Audio to compliment BoomSound, which means it will have a better dynamic and surround sound experience when listening to the front speakers.
