Editors Keys launch Kickstarter Campaign

Editors Keys has launched a Kickstarter campaign for making the world’s first Backlit editing keyboard. “Although backlit keyboards have been around for a few years now, up until today there has never been a shortcut keyboard available for video editors, audio producers or graphic designers. Editors Keys hopes to right this wrong, by launching the world’s first ever backlit editing keyboard on Kickstarter.”     Editors Keys have used a new production method in this keyboard. Rather than a small portion of the kay having back lights shine through, the entire key lights up. This helps the user see the shortcuts, text reference and Key’s letter which will speed up the editing process.     The company chose to use Kickstarter to enable a much quicker roll out for the product line. “As we’re quite a small business, we usually have to launch the product in one region, then slowly roll out to other countries, which means it can take a long time for some customers to get the products. We hope by running a Kickstarter campaign we can let our fans join in on the journey and help create an instant global roll out.” Says Founder Mark Brown. The keyboard will come in a gloss black color imitating a Piano. While it is being designed and marketed for editing, the keyboard can also be used for standard apps, like Word, email and internet browsing. The first batch of keyboards will be available for programs such as Avid Pro Tools, Steinberg Cubase, EDIUS, Adobe Premiere Pro, Sony Vegas, Sonar X3, Ableton Live, Presonus Studio One and Adobe Photoshop. Check out their Kickstarter campaign, and back it if you like the...

Samsung Australia Launches New Smart TV’s

Samsung Australia Launches New Smart TV’s

Today, at a Sydney press conference, Samsung is proud to introduced their latest Smart TV’s – the F9000 UHD TV (55 inch and 65 inch) along with 55 inch OLED Curved TV (KN55S9C) will bring previous Smart TV’s to a whole new level. Starting today the Samsung KN55S9C Curved OLED TV will be available to purchase at the Samsung Experience Store in Sydney but with only for limited amount. Samsung’s Curved OLED TV has a bright display with high pixel density making graphics crisp and sharp. It features higher frame rates to avoid blur and crosstalk during fast action scenarios. The way the technology work behind this is that the self-emitting RGB sub-pixel are placed straight to the panel without the need of color filter. Unlike LED’s which requires backlighting – the OLED TV does not require it, the black levels are deep with higher contrast ratio compared to LED TV’s. Although the OLED TV only has 1080p resolution – it looks a lot higher than that perhaps due the technology behind it. If you happen to live in Sydney I highly recommend that you see it yourself and decide what you think of the display. Multi-View will be featured on the TV which basically allows two people to watch two different sources at the same time and on the same screen using the latest Samsung Active glasses, which includes 2 earpiece for audio. On TV, Movies and TV Shows, Social, Apps as well as Photos, Videos and Music will also be part of the interface. As Samsung is always about interaction between the consumers and their products, the OLED TV will be voice controlled where users will be able to ask the TV for details about their favorite TV shows and movies. The 55 – inch OLED TV will retail for $10,999 while the F9000 UHD TV will be priced at $4,999 for the 55 – inch and $6,999 for the 65 – inch, and will go on sale in September.   Founder of Tech4Geeks and content creator on YouTube...
