LG’s new Wireless Audio lineup

LG’s new Wireless Audio lineup

Aug 30, 2015

LG Electronics and Wireless Audio. Not the first thing that comes to everyone’s minds when they think of LG. To a layman, LG is a company that manufactures Phones, Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, and other home appliances. But that changed at IFA Berlin this year. LG announced that they’d be releasing the Music Flow P5 and the SoundPop 360, both developed for the consumer who wanted portability and sound quality. The Music Flow P5 supports LG’s auto Music play feature which begins playing music automatically when a source comes into range. Its battery lasts for 15 hours of continuous playback, and it looks pretty darn good. Its compelling design and versatility make it very appealing. On the other hand, the SoundPop 360 (Quite a weird name, isn’t it?) is designed to be super portable. LG says the design was inspired by a coffee tumbler, helping it fit into daily life. Blending well with any furniture or appliance, the SoundPop 360 is a great fit for any interior design. The battery lasts 20 hours of continuous playback. The sound quality packs a punch, and the small body ensures it fits into any backpack or handbag, for ultimate portability.   Both these devices feature Multi Point, which lets two devices connect simultaneously and share music. Dual play allows listeners to connect two LG bluetooth speakers to the same mobile device, for stereo mode or a Dual room setup.   LG are yet to announce the pricing, but we predict it’ll be in line with existing players in the market, like the Bose Soundlink Mini and the Beats...

Moto G 2015, Moto X Play and Moto X Style – Australian Availability

Moto G 2015, Moto X Play and Moto X Style – Australian Availability

Aug 18, 2015

Moto G 3rd Gen Moto X Play Moto X Style Moto X Style Motorola Australia announced the availability of Moto G, Moto X Play and Moto X Style. After a strong start in the Australian market – Motorola AU is hoping that same result will happen, if not, better. Moto G  The Moto G is the low-end version of Play and Style. It packs a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, Adreno 306 GPU, 8GB/16GB storage, 1GB/2GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and 2470 mAh battery. It’s also IPX7 rated which means there’s no need to worry about dropping it into water. *Available later in 2015 for MSRP of A$369.* Moto X Play The mid-range (if you sees it as a mid-range) Moto X Play offers a massive 3630 mAh battery which will easily get you through the day, and with its lower resolution and less power eater compared to its big brother – the Moto X Play is easily the best pick if you’re about the battery life and just enough power to run games and multi-task. *Available from September 2015 from Vodafone for $5 a month on a $40 plan over 24 months.* Moto X Style This is Motorola’s flagship for this year and will have a bamboo back cover edition which is new for Australians. A generous 5.7-inch QHD edge-to-edge display at the front of the device, as well as dual front speakers for better sound experience. Thanks to some fast charging tweals – with Moto X Style, it should get an additional 10 hours of battery life in just 15 mins of charging. Another big improvement over the Moto X is the camera. The 21-megapixel is supposedly one of the best cameras in the industry, so far, based from my tests, white balance and colour saturation are much improved but of course I can’t comment on it yet. There’s also a 5MP front facing camera for videos calls and selfies. It’s packing a Snapdragon 808, Adreno 418, 3GB RAM and storage options of 16/32/64 GB. The use of Snapdragon 808 instead of Snapdragon 810 is most likely because of heating issues that it’s causing. *Available from September 2015 from Vodafone for $3 a month on...
