Samsung Introduces Milk Music – A Music Streaming Application for Samsung Galaxy Devices

Samsung’s latest music streaming application is finally available on the Google Play Store, ready for you to download on your Galaxy devices. The catch however is that it is for American users only, but of course more countries will be included in the future. For those of you that wanted to try out the application on a Non-Samsung device then you certainly can, although your phone has to be rooted in order to do so. To install Milk: 1. Download the APK. 2. Download Root Explorer. 3. Install the APK (“Unknown Sources” must be enabled. Close the app.) 4. Open Root Explorer. Under “root” folder, find “system folder”. 5. Press mount R/O, then press build.prop and edit the following (a backup will be automatically be made once it’s saved): ro.product.model=Galaxy S4 ro.product.brand=Samsung ro.product.manufacturer=Samsung 6. Save it. Reboot the device. Founder of Tech4Geeks and content creator on YouTube (tech4all1). Source: Android...

Action Launcher v1.9 Released

Action Launcher has been updated to v1.9.  For those of you who are like me and like to add a custom launcher for extra enhancements and speed, this is the update for you.  Improvements have been made to enhance user experience and optimizations which is primarily because the code base has been switched to Android 4.3. Many users of this launcher will agree that it stands out from the rest based on ease of use, simple and clean design and full featured app widgets that are launched by a simple swipe of the app shortcut. Go to the link below to get yours today! Source: Google Play Link Hi, my name is Mark and I love to eat, sleep, and breathe tech! Chromecast now able to stream anything from CyanogenMod.

Chromecast now able to stream anything from CyanogenMod.

While most of the world is still waiting for a Chromecast, some developers are hot at work to get some additional streaming features available. Koushik Dutta has come to the aid of Chromecast users to open up the features. Current owners were surprised to find that out of the box Chromecast streams from Google, YouTube, and Netflix. Others sources are not capable of being streamed. Last week Koush posted the news of his new app to stream gallery items. Now he has opened up its capabilities to stream anything in CyanogenMod.  Streaming seems to be as simple as playing the media then going to notification drawer and clicking ‘Play on Chromecast’.  As long as the media is using media api’s in Android it will work. The only drawback to the functionality is it is only possible by root at this time, so non-rooted devices will not be able to get the functionality as of yet.  It is also only available in the CyanogenMod ROM but hopefully it will expand to other ROM’s too. Chromecast is different than most mirroring devices because it receives the video from the source not the mirroring device.  It can mirror tabs in the Chrome browser. Although not quite available for everyone yet, availability will come soon enough…. hopefully! Video     Hi, my name is Mark and I love to eat, sleep, and breathe tech!
