Telstra and HTC today announced the availability of the new HTC One M8 in Australia. It will be Australia’s first smartphone capable of using Telstra’s APT700MHz spectrum which will be deployed from the beginning of 2015.

Consumers can buy the phone now, at retail outlets (Or, if you’re interested, Telstra has Contract devices available) for $840.
Telstra offers 4G in over 300 major areas around Australia. The 700MHZ bandwidth, which will be officially announced in January of 2015, will offer better in-building signals and more reliable Internet. HTC One M8 users will be among the first who benefit from this.
